Rod does not accept charge:

  • Some models require the power button to be pressed to initiate charge
  • The power supply may be in sleep or protection mode. Hold the power button for thirty seconds. Do not press the button for 1 minute after a re-set
  • The above did not work: a) check for signs of water intrusion or corroded connections B) plug the rod in to the charger in a safe place where it can be supervised. After 30 min remove the charger and hold the power button for thirty seconds. Note the charger will remain green during the wake up cycle. After the re set plug the charger in and it should turn red.

Reel keeps shutting off when under load

  • Make sure your reel does not draw more than 25 amps
  • Your reel may be jammed. Check for signs of tangled line or dabree in the reel
  • Reels with two speed functionality may require you to put the reel into low gear on larger fish or high drag situations
  • Reels using brushed motors may have brushes failing that are causing a short circuit. Our battery has an advanced BMS that detects this and will turn off to protect the batteries and your reel. Consult a repair shop to have your reel repaired. Note the reel still may work with other brands of batteries as many do not have this safety feature.
