Your E-Rod® is engineered to do something no ordinary rod can: carry its own power source inside the butt. The seals are what make that possible. They're the barrier that keeps saltwater, spray, and debris out of the battery and electrical connections and like any seal exposed to a marine environment, they wear over time.
That makes seal inspection and replacement a routine part of caring for your E-Rod®, not an optional upgrade. Before, during, and after each trip, check that every seal is intact, seated, and undamaged. A cracked, compressed, or missing seal can allow water intrusion, and on an electric rod that means risking the very components that set the E-Rod® apart. Replacing a worn seal takes a moment and costs a few dollars; ignoring one can cost you the rod. This kit gives you fresh, ready-to-install OEM seals so you're never caught fishing on a compromised seal.
Where your seals live:
- Jigging & Micro Deep Drop rods: an outer seal on the rod's ferrule, plus an inner seal inside the lip of the female ferrule at the top of the butt.
- HD Series rods/butts: one seal located between the reel seat and the ferrule.
Use only genuine Dominion seals. These seals are manufactured to exact tolerances for the E-Rod® system. Substitute or aftermarket seals may not seat correctly, may not hold their seal under pressure, and may void your warranty. Our warranty is contingent on proper maintenance with OEM components so protect your coverage and your investment by replacing seals only with genuine Dominion parts.
